West began talking about the YEEZY 450 in the summer of 2018 when he shared preliminary sketches of the intriguing shoe. Since then, we’ve seen numerous prototypes, and Kanye has even been spotted wearing the YEEZY model in public. The shoe, designed with heavy influence from Steven Smith, carries a trail influence among a more athletic sock-fit. The adidas YEEZY 450 features a one piece sock-like black Primeknit upper with contrast hits at the rear. A knit upper sits snugly in the sole, which wraps the upper in a cage reminiscent of bones. Along the top of the forefoot we find an integrated lacing system with thick rope laces looping through.
